What BioAttend needed, and how we approached it
Educational institutions needed a reliable way to replace manual attendance registers with something that could flag at-risk students automatically. We built BioAttend on a Django REST API with a Next.js dashboard for admins and lecturers, plus a Flutter mobile app for biometric check-ins, including role-based dashboards and automatic alerts when a student's attendance drops below a 75% threshold.
